30-day Raw Food Fast: Day 7 recipes

Congratulations on reaching your first milestone! You have been a Raw foodie for one whole week! Wow! Your organs would be dancing with joy now, screaming -THANK YOU!

To celebrate this milestone, i decided to bring together the Smoothie Allstars- These are smoothies you told me (on facebook ) were total Rawkstars!  I have also added one or two newbies. So here goes Recipe 7

What you would need:
1.  Time – obviously
2.  A high speed blender or a smoothie maker
3.  Apple cider vinegar (to wash fruits and vegetables. See: ‘30-Day Juice Fast: Day 1- Mind Prep!’ post sent on 28th of Feb. 2013 for veggie washer recipe.)

You would also need flasks and bowls to take some of these recipes to work etc.


Fruits and Veggies needed for the day: 4 cups of leafy greens, I medium sized lemon, 8 oranges, 2 inches of ginger, a handful of either almonds, peanuts or cashew nuts, 5 inches of cucumber, 2 cups of mangoes, 2 avocado pears, 3 cups of pineapple, 6 bananas and 3 pink grapefruits.

7am
Am Detox
A mug of warm water and 2 lemon slices. 

8am and 11am
Bananarama:
2 Bananas, 2 cups of orange juice (5 medium sized oranges should yield about 2 cups of juice.), 1 handful of peanut or cashew nuts ( optional).

Use a citrus juicer to get juice from the oranges. Toss the orange juice and the other ingredients into a high speed blender or a smoothie maker. Blend until smooth.

1pm 
Green Garana Smoothie:
2 cups of leafy greens, 5 inches of cucumber, the flesh of 1 avocado pear, 1 cup of peeled & chopped pineapple, and 1 inch of ginger.

Toss all in a high speed blender or smoothie maker and blend until smooth.

3pm
Fiji Smoothie:
2 cups of leafy green, 2 bananas, the flesh of 1 avocado pear, 2 cups of peeled & chopped pineapple, and 1 inch of ginger.
Toss all in a high speed blender or smoothie maker and blend until smooth.
5pm
MangoesBananas  
2 cups of mango, 2 bananas, 1 cup of orange juice.
Toss all in a high speed blender or smoothie maker and blend until smooth.
7pm
PM snack:
3 pink grapefruits. Use a citrus juicer to extract Juice. You can snack on a handful of almonds, peanuts or cashew nuts.
