30-day Raw Food Fast: Day 8
It's Week-Two of the Raw Food Fast. For this week, i would like you to get creative and try-out your own recipes. Share the recipes on facebook or in the comment section below.

Day 8 recipes:
What you would need:
1. Time – obviously
2. A high speed blender or a smoothie maker
3. A chopping board (optional)
4. Knives (optional)
5. Water
6. Apple cider vinegar (to wash fruits and vegetables. See: ‘30-Day Juice Fast: Day 1- Mind Prep!’ post sent on 28th of Feb. 2013 for veggie washer recipe.)
Fruits
and Veggies needed for the day: 5 cups of leafy greens, I medium sized
lemon, 8 bananas, 15 oranges, 4 inches of ginger, 1 cup of chopped papaya, 1 cup of chopped cucumber, 1/2 a cup of chopped sweet potatoes, 1/2 a cup of chopped carrots, 2 avocado pears, and 2
cups of pineapple.
Recipes:
7 am
Warm water with 2 slices of Lemon.
8am and 11am
Smoothie twist:
2 cups of leafy green (pumpkin leaf, spinach, green leaves would do.), 3 bananas, 1 avocado pear, 3 oranges, 1 inch size ginger.
Use
a citrus juicer to get juice from the oranges. Toss the orange juice and the other ingredients into a high speed blender or
a smoothie maker. Blend until smooth.
1pm
Carotene twist smoothie:
1
banana, 1/2 a cup of chopped sweet potatoes, 1/2 a cup of chopped carrots, 1
cup of chopped papaya (paw paw), 2 inches of ginger, and 3 cups of fresh
orange juice.
Toss all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
3pm
Garana Smoothie:
3 cups of leafy green, 1 banana, the flesh of 1 avocado pear,
1 cup of peeled & chopped pineapple, and 1 inch of ginger.
Toss all in a high speed blender or smoothie maker and blend until smooth.
5pm
3 oranges, 3 TBSP of lemon and 2 inches of ginger.
Use
a citrus juicer to extract the orange juice. Toss the orange juice,
lemon juice and ginger into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
7pm
PM step-down:
1 cup of pineapple, 1 cup of cucumber, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
Toss into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
