30-Days Juice Fast- Day 12

So, I decided to weigh myself today, for the first time since this 30-day fast commenced. I must confess that i am not such a big fan of the weighing scale because I don’t think it shows the full picture. I prefer tracking the inches around my waist etc. Anyway, my weight came in at 73kg! Okay, I am 5ft 8inches tall and have oscillated between UK sizes 8 and 10 for the past few months. But regardless of this, my weight always seems to hang around the 73-75kg range. I sure do hope it makes some significant shifts at the end of this fast or something is definitely wrong with my weighing scale! Lol!
On to Day 12 recipes:

What you would need:

1.   Time – obviously
2.   A Juicer or/ a smoothie maker (a good blender if no smoothie maker)
3.   A chopping board (optional)
4.   Knives (optional)
5.   Water
6.   Apple cider vinegar (to wash fruits and vegetables. See: ‘30-Day Juice Fast: Day 1- Mind Prep!’ post sent on 28th of Feb. 2013 for veggie washer recipe.)


Fruits and Veggies needed for the day: 3 bananas, 3 apples, 2 cups of pineapple, 1 celery stick, 2-4 inches of lemon, 8 inches of cucumber, 2 handful of mixed green leaves, 7 carrots, 4 cups of red grapes, 3 oranges, a bag of peppermint tea (optional) and ½ a cup of strawberries.

Recipes:
7 am:

Warm water with Lemon slices Or Have a mug of peppermint tea.
(This is a great way to start cleansing your gut. Lemon helps get rid of mucous and helps keep bacteria at bay. SO say –‘good morning gut’.


8am and 11am:

AM call: Juice- 2 handful of mixed greens, 2 apples, 1 carrot, one inch slice of lemon with rind off and 1 inch fresh ginger (optional).
Juice the lot.

 2pm:

PM call- ½ a beetroot, 2 handfuls of green leaves, 2 cup of red grapes, 6 inches of cucumber and 1 inch slice of lemon without the rind.

Juice the lot.


3pm:

PM - 1 celery stick, 3 stems of broccoli, 1 apple, 5 carrots, and a thumb of ginger
Juice the lot.

5pm:

PM smoothie – ½ cup of blueberries, a handful of green leaves, 3 bananas, ½ cup of strawberries and 3 oranges.

Peel the oranges and juice them. If you have a citrus squeezer then you, obviously, do not have to peel the orange.

Toss everything into a blender and blend until smooth.
Enjoy!

7pm:

Lullaby – 2 cups of pineapple, 2 cups of grapes, 1 celery sticks, and 3 inches of cucumber.

Juice the lot.
